We employed David Beeson as Project Manager for a major renovation and development that was carried out on our property between 2009 and 2011.
The whole job was rather complex as we had various constructions underway simultaneously which included a tennis court, swimming pool, wine cellar, three large outbuildings, retaining walls, a large pond and major additions to the homestead. Added to this, the plans that we had grew fairly organically as we implemented many changes as the project developed.
David had to source and work with a vast number of contractors, and timing was often critical for the place to come together cohesively. Construction continued over a period of two and a half years and there were, as with all building projects of this scale, various problems to overcome. In this regard, David more than proved his worth, successfully negotiating and correcting anything ( or anyone) that was of concern. As a result of this and his insistence on excellence in all aspects of the build, we are now the proud owners of a beautifully constructed homestead.
My wife and I intend employing David in any further developments we may undertake and recommend him without hesitation to anyone considering his services.

MSC are the structural engineers responsible for the design and observation of construction of a number of separate buildings, suspended tennis court, pool and pond.
The construction has involved piling, concrete block and timber retaining walls, and suspended concrete floors and beams, and structural steel beams. The house construction involves two stages, and involves adding and deleting suspended concrete floors. Part of this structure is over a new underground wine cellar which has a vaulted concrete roof.
The workmanship has been of an extremely high standard involving complex formwork and reinforcing steel. All stages of work have been well planned and constructed without complications or deficiencies in the work.
The first stage of the home alteration and additions required significant planning on David's part to enable the home to be continued to be occupied until recently. David has a good relationship with the various sub contractors on site, the architect, owner and MSC.
He is prepared to ask for additional detail or clarification and has often suggested ways of improving a detail.
We have found David pleasant to work with, to be extremely efficient and is producing high quality workmanship.

I have known David Beeson for over 20 years. More recently I employed him as Project Manager and Builder to build a 450 sq metre Mediterranean style villa on Waiheke Island. This was no mean feat as there is no road to the property, the task required great logistic and management skills.
The standard of workmanship was of the highest standard. The house passed all the moisture tests and an audit carried out by Building Industry Authority to obtain a Compliance Certificate which was issued by Auckland City Council..
